English medium 317 words SSC CGL SSC CGL
All candidates are hereby informed that the Typing Skill Test will be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to assess accuracy, speed, and familiarity with computer-based typing procedures. Every candidate shall occupy the system allotted to him and must not change the seat or keyboard without explicit permission of the invigilator. The total duration of the test is fifteen minutes, during which the candidate must type the passage shown on the screen exactly as it appears. The content should be reproduced word for word, maintaining correct punctuation, capitalization, and spacing. No retyping of the passage is permitted, and any remaining time after completion must be used only for correction and review. Candidates are strictly prohibited from using copy, paste, auto-correct, predictive typing, or any other feature that may assist in typing. The use of Tab key is mandatory for proper paragraph alignment, and manual spacing at the beginning of a new paragraph shall be treated as a half mistake. Any omission, substitution, or addition of a word will be treated as a full mistake. Similarly, punctuation, spacing, or capitalization errors will be treated as half mistakes. Candidates are required to type only the given text and must not insert any extra or irrelevant words, figures, or symbols. Each candidate must ensure that all typed content remains within the visible screen area. The system will automatically submit the text when the timer reaches zero, and the results will display the total characters typed, gross words per minute, net correct words, error percentage, and qualification status as per category and post type. Any attempt to close the window, refresh the page, or seek external help will be considered misconduct and may lead to disqualification. Candidates are therefore advised to remain calm, focus on accuracy, and complete the passage within the prescribed time while following all examination rules set by the Commission. Every keystroke counts, and precision is important .
